f Dj[BB]'s Breakbeat Paradise - Breakbeat Contest 2002 Info

Breakbeat Contest 2002
  1. How long have you been making music?

I've been doing music since the mid 80's, but it's not until now that i've found my thing...and that is to use the computer as a main instrument. Its pretty amazing what you can do with a decent Music program and a brain full of creative thoughts.

  2. What musictools are you using to create your tracks?

I use various software's and jump between them, back and forth until i'm happy with the sound. All samples I use are manipulated in any of the programs, that way the sound is mine and not just a cut n' paste project. The stuff I use in no particular order: Reason, Cubase, Cool Edit Pro 2.0, Magix Studio, Music Director. Making Waves, Fruity 3, Rebirth, Qunic etc...+lots of sample CD's

  3. What are your musical inspirations?

Ever since The Wiseguys "Oh La la" I have been a fan of the genre, but never got my hands on doing it myself. But when I saw your contest I thought what the hell, I give it a try.....and it turned out pretty well didn't it? :-)

  4. Why did you enter the breakbeat contest 2002?

My plans are to keep on doing what I do best, stay put at my day job that is....and then make music on my free time. I work like 14 hours a day, so there isn't too much time left to make music, but without it I would die.

  5. What are your plans for the future musically?

I think it's here to stay. Cos the music it's based on will live forever and therefor BreakBeat will be here for a long time. There's room for alot of creativity in this genre and you can blend any music style to a cool BB tune...
